How do I make homemade noodles from scratch and instead of using all-purpose flour can I use bread flour?
I am wanting to make noodles from scratch, and I do know that everywhere I look it says to use all-purpose flour, but can I substitute it for bread flour? What is the difference? What will happen if I don’t use the all-purpose flour? Can any one tell me a site that I can use or just give me a recipe instead. Thanks for your help. I am trying to make a lott of things from scratch since it is better in the long run and not all the added ingredients like the ones in the store. Thanks to everyone how helps me out in this. If the bread flour is not labelled “self-rising”, then you can substitute eqaul amounts of bread flour for all-purpose flour in noodles. The higher protein content of the bread flour will just give the noodles a different texture. It won’t be awful. AP will make a better egg noodle, though.
