Bread maker bread?
The breadmaker mix says to put in almost an identical amount of water to make either 1.5 pound or 2 pound loaf. If what goes in is only a couple of ounces of water different, how does the loaf end up 1/2 pound larger??? Like trying to make a Caddy out of VW parts isn’t it?
Forget I asked…lol…I thought I was supposed to use all the mix for either size loaf, but you use a little less for the 1.5 pound. Sorry to bother you.
That could be correct.
Let’s say water is 40% and the mix is 60% of the bread.
For 24 ounces (1.5 pound loaf), water is about 11 oz. and mix is 13 oz.
For 32 oz. (2 pound loaf), water is about 14 oz. and mix is 18 oz.
That is only a difference of 3 ounces.
Could you provide more details–the exact amount of water and mix? Or are you using the same amount of mix in both loaves?
