Why are toasters so crap (in general)?
When you think of all the household appliances, from walkmans to TVs to washing machines to kettles, one of the most unreliable is the toaster. And yet it is the one appliances that has the most basic function … it is basically a grill for doing just bread.
So my question is why are toasters so unreliable in so many different ways? E.g. they don’t toast both sides easily, or they don’t push down because they have fallen of their runners or even they have just completely stopped working?
Anyone?
I don’t know but I have to agree with you. We bought an expensive 4 slice thingy and it is rubbish! It either burns or doesn’t do enough, is never consistent a complete pain in the butt.
Yes lets have a campaign for a decent toaster, there must be a Mr Dyson out there who wants to make a good one???
